IAC search engine Ask.com is being sued for click fraud. A Class Action lawsuit is being brought against the search company for “failing to adequately detect and stop ‘click fraud’ or other invalid or improper clicks on online advertisements.”
Now click fraud is something every advertiser has to deal with, especially given the various account types and limits on advertising packages.
What the class members are asking for is advertising credits for online ads purchased from IAC Search Media Inc. and/or Ask Jeeves Inc. on or before August 1,2005.
That goes back a couple of years, and speaks to a heightened era for click fraud, when it was a central topic of discussion in regards to online advertising.
